Dr. Jeffrey P. Kraichely
Dr. Jeffrey P. Kraichely is the founder and Clinic Director of HealthWorks in Summerville, SC. He holds a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan University (1997) and a Bachelor’s in Human Biology (1994). After being diagnosed with polymorphic rheumatoid arthritis in 2004, Dr. Kraichely redirected his clinical focus to treating arthritis through identifying chemical and biological triggers. His personal journey fuels his passion for guiding patients toward long‑term wellness. In his free time, he remains an avid cyclist and cherishes moments with his wife Deanna and their four children.
Dr. Kraichely specializes in diagnosing and managing disc herniations, spinal degeneration, and related nerve impingements through customized chiropractic approaches.
Leveraging his own experience with rheumatoid arthritis, he helps patients address arthritis by targeting underlying biochemical triggers—not just symptoms—to reduce pain and improve life quality.
HealthWorks emphasizes a holistic chiropractic philosophy—tackling the root cause of discomfort, not just relief of symptoms. Dr. Kraichely leads the use of manual therapies, rehabilitative exercises, and nutritional and lifestyle counsel to facilitate total-body health.
Their focus includes:
- Identifying “why” symptoms occur (e.g. weakness, tingling, inflammation)
Offering benefits like increased mobility, stronger immunity, improved posture, reduced stress, and enhanced concentration
Dr. Kraichely and the HealthWorks team integrate Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) with chiropractic adjustments to target chronic back pain. ESWT can:
Break down scar and calcified tissue
Stimulate circulation and cellular healing
Desensitize nerves and reduce inflammation
Enhance effectiveness of adjustments and speed recovery
Treatment protocols often consist of sessions 1–3 times per week over 4–6 weeks, followed by maintenance plans that include corrective exercises and home therapies.
Dr. Kraichely is committed to empowering patients through clear, actionable health education. Notable blog contributions include:
Warnings about long-term risks of proton-pump inhibitors (like the “Purple Pill”) on kidney function and dementia, based on a German study linking omeprazole to a 44% increased dementia risk over seven years.
- Natural immune‑support strategies such as Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Quercetin, NAC, and Zinc—paired with chiropractic care to bolster the body’s defenses.
HealthWorks—a key clinic in the Lowcountry—offers a full spectrum of pain management services, including chiropractic adjustments, spinal decompression, shockwave therapy, EMTT, and massage therapy. They build custom care plans designed to eliminate pain and prevent recurrence, focusing on back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, and posture issues.
